As a kid, Paula MacDonald wanted to be the next Steven Spielberg, making movies for and about kids. Just a kid herself when starting college at age 16, she was faced with the question that most college freshmen struggle with, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
After spending the first two years of college at the University of South Florida in the theatre department learning scenic construction and character development, Paula applied and was accepted at the prestigious University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in film and television production, with a focus on screenwriting, editing and directing talent.
Today, Paula MacDonald, APR brings her experience in visual communications with a storytelling perspective to her work as owner/principal of Image Suite PR | Marketing | Media, a full-service creative consultancy based in St. Petersburg, Florida. She serves clients nationwide in professional services, hospitality, sports and agricultural industries. As an active member of PRSA, Paula chairs the Independent Practitioners Alliance section and works locally with the Tampa Bay chapter as co-chair of Accreditation and Agency Leaders.
She is also a student mentor in the Pinellas County Take Stock in Children program and board member for the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County, and still dreams of making movies for and about kids.
